Welcome to my world of whack, whimsy, and wonder. This road leads to humor, healing, heart, and hope. Join me on this wonder-full journey. It ain’t always pretty — but it ain’t beige.

Come for the wisdom. Stay for the whack.
I’m a formerly well-behaved pediatrician who now plays with toys, words, and glue to make meaning and mischief.
I’m also a survivor of narcissistic abuse — survivor being the key word. I’m not afraid of the dark. I’ve mapped every corner. I know all the unmarked exits.
I made it out with stories, scars, hard-won wisdom, and enough colorful whack art to fill a gallery. (Or at least a therapist’s waiting room.)

Around here, we make room for it all: grief, healing, joy, humor — and always hope.
We’re turning confusion into clarity, wreckage into recovery, and tears into guffaws.
Because beige is for couches.
Not survivors.
A few things you didn’t ask for
I am now happily married to a non-narcissist. He’s caring. Loving. A good man.
I have 3 grown sons. They’re good boys — even if they don’t call their mother enough.
I mentor ex-foster youth and currently have 10 amazing mentees. Honestly, I think they teach me more than I teach them.
My stepson calls me “The Village Medicine Woman.” Which is probably the greatest thing I’ve ever been called. (Along with “Mom.”)
I’ve traveled to something like 45 countries. I’m nowhere near done.
I live in mostly-sunny San Diego: great beaches, great tacos, great place to live. Except for the traffic. And the June Gloom.
